Delivery
Delivery is charged per item according to destination. Multiple purchases will be charged for the total weight of delivery.
All overseas packages will be delivered Air Mail.
We aim to despatch your order within 7 working days.
All UK parcels will be posted First Class. If you wish for an order to be delivered more quickly (or more slowly) this can be arranged – just email me before you place your order.
If you wish to place an order from a country that is not currently on the list, email me and I will advise you within 24 hours of the cost of postage to that country and add it to the list.

Returns
We check everything before we send it to you and do our very best to ensure that all our products are made to a high standard, but if you are dissatisfied in any way we will exchange, refund or give you a credit note.
Please return the item within 21 days to: The Wartime Housewife, c/o 41 Rushton Road, Desborough, Northants, NN14 2RP.
We would suggest you obtain a proof of posting certificate from the post office as we cannot be held responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit.
Postage costs will be refunded if goods are faulty. Should you receive damaged goods, then please notify us within 24 hours of receipt (your statutory rights will not be affected).
Confidentiality
Your name and address details remain confidential with us and will not be exchanged or handed to any third party.
Packaging
Whilst goods will always be packed with great care appropriate to the items, I will always recycle packaging materials wherever possible, in the spirit of The Wartime Housewife.

1. DEFINITIONS
1.1 “Buyer” means the individual or organisation who buys or agrees to buy the Goods from the Seller;
1.2 “Consumer” shall have the meaning ascribed in section 12 of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977;
1.3 “Contract” means the contract between the Seller and the Buyer for the sale and purchase of Goods incorporating these Terms and Conditions;
1.4 “Goods” means the articles that the Buyer agrees to buy from the Seller;
1.5 “Seller” means The Wartime Housewife, 41 Rushton Road, Desborough, Northants NN14 2RP that owns and operates www.wartimehousewife.com
1.6 “Terms and Conditions” means the terms and conditions of sale set out in this agreement and any special terms and conditions agreed in writing by the Seller;
1.7 “Website” means www.wartimehousewife.com
2. CONDITIONS
2.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall affect the Buyer’s statutory rights as a Consumer.
2.2 These Terms and Conditions shall apply to all contracts for the sale of Goods by the Seller to the Buyer and shall prevail over any other documentation or communication from the Buyer.
2.3 Acceptance of delivery of the Goods shall be deemed conclusive evidence of the Buyer’s acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2.4 Any variation to these Terms and Conditions (including any special terms and conditions agreed between the parties) shall be inapplicable unless agreed in writing by the Seller.
2.5 Any complaints should be addressed to the Seller’s address stated in clause 1.5.
3. ORDERING
3.1 All orders for Goods shall be deemed to be an offer by the Buyer to purchase Goods pursuant to these Terms and Conditions and are subject to acceptance by the Seller. The Seller may choose not to accept an order for any reason.
3.2 Where the Goods ordered by the Buyer are not available from stock the Buyer shall be notified and given the option to either wait until the Goods are available from stock or cancel the order and receive a full refund within 30 days.
3.3 When making an order through the Website, the technical steps the Buyer needs to take to complete the order process are described in the How to Order Section.
3.4 We are thorough in ensuring that the information relating to each product is accurate at the time of publication. As many of our items are made by hand, unique and slight variations in colour, texture, size and pattern will occur.

1. The Wartime Housewife is committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining the security of any personal information received from you. We strictly adhere to the requirements of the data protection legislation in the UK.
The purpose of this statement is to explain to you what personal information we collect and how we may use it.
2. When you order, we need to know your name, address, email address, card details, delivery and shipping address. This allows us to process and fulfil your order. You have the option to withhold personal information that is not required for the order process.
3. We use your personal information solely for payment and billing purposes.
We will only contact you with your consent.
4. We do not sell, rent or exchange your personal information with any third party for commercial reasons, beyond the essential requirement for credit/debit card validation during purchase.
5. We follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access in accordance with the UK data protection legislation.
We do not collect sensitive information about you except when you specifically knowingly provide it. In order to maintain the accuracy of our database, you can check, update or remove your personal details by logging into the website.
