Typhoid at the very least…

Please forgive my absence. I am laid up with the worst stomach upset I have ever had in my life.  Nightmare. Will be back as soon as I can stray more than 20 feet from the lavatory.

Ye gods, woman, get yourself some camomile (there are, even, tea bags) in any way, shape or form and consume it warm, then rest and do it all again, then rest, rest and sleep. Gawd bless yer darlin’!

You might need a Kaoline poltice, I have VERY PERSONAL experience of those. I can talk you through…

Ooohh…that just happened to me when I was at home for New Year, my stomach was possessed…never had anything like it before…didn’t eat for four days, which is terrible cos I wanted to eat all my favourite English stuff.
    Feel better soon!

Is it significant that this post follows straight on the heels of the super salad recipe??
Keep hydrated and get better soon!

Not nice – wrap yourself in loving cottonwool from the family and hope you get better soon.

I’m impressed you even thought to post this much, tbh!

20 feet from the lav ? You’re either pushing your luck or well on the way to recovery !

Send them boys out for Imodium and flat cola will keep you alive in the meantime (& after your innards really will be sparkly & shiny )
Lots of love & get well soon

oh no poor you, been through something similar recently with both kids and husband, I was thankfully spared. Found the best thing to replace lost fluids is homemade electrolyte drink, no need for the awful Gatorade etc. There is a basic recipe on the WHO website that I used:

    6 level tsp sugar
    half level tsp salt
1 litre of water (5 cup fulls)

I also make another one as a sports drink that is very palatable and goes down better than water on it’s own:

    half tsp salt
    quarter tsp baking soda
    7 cups of water
juice half a lemon or lime
quarter cup of honey or 2 tblp sugar
a few splashes of orange juice

    hope you feel better soon
