I’m sorry that this post is only relevant to the Brits. I used to buy fresh Basa Fillets from Sainsbury’s until they stopped selling previously frozen fish. I went into Aldi today and found a pack of three lovely frozen plump fillets of Basa for £1.79.
Here are some nice ways to cook them.
Alternatively, melt a good knob butter in a frying pan then add a tablespoon of fresh chopped parsley. Cook the Basa fillets in the pan over a low heat (making sure the butter doesn’t brown) turning occasionally. Remove the fish from the pan and add a couple of tablespoons of double cream and a sprinkling of salt and black pepper. Stir well and pour over the fish. Serve with steamed vegetables.
